The Store
Find, install and update apps.
The Store is a Kilne app that works as a friendly front end for the kilne command. It has three tabs.
Discover
Search apps from your sources. Each one has a Get or Update button.
Installed
Open, update, roll back or remove what you have. Remove an app and keep its data, or take the data with it.
Sources
Add, remove, turn on or turn off the places apps come from.
Before you install
See what an app wants first.
Before anything installs, the Store says what the app asks to do, in plain words.
It asks to:
- Use the camera
- Read and write files

Sources
A source is a catalog of apps: an index and the app archives it points to. Kilne can use several at once, and you decide which are on.
- Sources that are signed are marked as such. Archives are checked against their checksum before they are unpacked.
- An unsigned source is labelled unsigned, with a reminder: install only what you trust.
- A development source is for your own catalog while you build. Add one with
kilne sources add --development.
Updates and rollbacks
Update one app or all of them. Each app keeps the previous version, so you can roll back with one click, or kilne rollback.
Build your own catalog
Use kilne catalog build to make a catalog from your app bundles and kilne catalog serve to try it locally. See the command reference.
